"And now we welcome the New Year. Full of things that have never been."
Here we have it - the first, shiny, bright and new day of a 2015 (cue High School Musical's Start of Something New). The very start of a 365 page book *cringes at the amount of times I've seen this today*. 2014 was definitely more of a valley than a peak overall, but all the more to learn from, and all the more to be excited for a new year.
One major thing I've realised is that I'm a bit of a people pleaser, in that I'm always trying to do absolutely everything for absolutely everyone, and their dog too. I'm often compromising the things I want and/or need to do for other people, and I can't afford the luxury of being a Yes-Woman in 2015.
2015 will be my last year in high school, and as relieved as I am that my high school career is so close to being over, I can't shake the feeling that it really is just the beginning. We've all heard the horror stories of workload increasing tenfold, which results in many a sleepless night, all mixed in with the pressure of applying to university with the results you receive throughout the year. It's a lot to take in, and for someone like myself who could not be any worse at dealing with stress, I'm freaking out a little.
This year will be dedicated to school, which may mean missing a few blog-worthy events, a few family gatherings and a few birthday celebrations. Funny thing is though, although it's not really the greatest thing to say,I'm not not happy about to it. I'm about 85% introvert, so the more alone time I have, the more fourishing and blossoming and prospering I'll do. And if ever there was a year where I really needed to flourish and blossom and prosper, it would be this one. Cliche ahead: 2015 will (has no choice but to) be my year.

This is such a nice post to bring in the new year (Happy New Year!) & while I wish you the best in your last ear of high school, please enjoy it as much as you can because you are 100% right about workload increasing ten fold - at least! Haha I'm sure you will handle everything seamlessly though.
